Fortunate to have partnered with Rosalyn, co-Founder of Resilient Moment, on this important journey.

As our world progresses, the balance of ease and difficulty is constantly shifting with too few tools to maintain resilience. No one is more familiar with attempting to perfect this balancing act than Resilient Moment’s VP and Co-founder.

Rosalyn Mahashin has two roles at Resilient Moment – leading marketing and business development. As with most startups, she wears many hats. (She's pretty grounded, so they still fit her head.)

Known for meticulous preparation and keeping calm in a crisis, Rosalyn grew up in Silicon Valley when the Internet upended the established order and young innovators founded startups that sent the stock market into orbit.

She credits her public spiritedness, unflinching resolve to do the right thing, and work ethic from her family of Vietnamese refugees who started side businesses to make ends meet.

Rosalyn had planned to pursue psychiatry, but instead became fascinated by the rapid pace of tech innovation. After courses in computer science and cognitive psychology, she immersed herself in the field of human computer interaction, earning a degree in communications at Stanford University.

Graduating, Rosalyn joined Google, then in startup mode. She spent seven years in product marketing and consumer operations, supporting 50 product launches and an in-kind grants program for 5,000 nonprofits. She returned to her passion of health and global development by earning a master of public administration degree from the University of Washington. There, she was selected as a GSEE Fellow and served as a researcher at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

That path paid off at Meta (fka Facebook), where she was the first business person to join a team creating products for social good. She forged ties with leaders from WHO, The Malala Fund, and Red Cross, and trained a team of  managers. She helped raise $5 billion for nonprofits and shared life-saving information, helping people cope with disasters and epidemics.

She digs philosophical sci-fi movies, citing Everything Everywhere All at Once and Arrival as faves. She’s also a good listener: “I know the words to a surprising number of 80’s New Wave songs,” (Pro tip: Do not ask her to sing them).

A big self-care fan before it became a trend, Rosalyn reads, hikes, exercises and meditates, and it shows. Self-care keeps her grounded amongst her ever changing hats and the nature of starting a company which allows her to lead her two departments undaunted.
