Our founders came together to do just that but before Resilient Moment, their paths were already intertwined.
Vadim S. and Benjamin Young first met working together at Angel in 2005. Vadim saw Angel through the deployment and innovation of robust cloud-based voice platforms as it was acquired by Genesys in 2013. Meanwhile, Ben founded Sworkit Health, a personalized mobile workout app, in 2010 which went on to be one of Shark Tank ABC’s most significant tech deals. While Vadim and Ben were forging their early tech careers, Rosalyn Mahashin was also busy joining the marketing and business side of tech startups including Google when it was still in its early stages. In 2021, Vadim joined Meta, where Rosalyn had played a pivotal role overseeing strategic partnerships in both Health and Social Impact teams.
Vadim is a thorough believer that there are no unsolvable problems. Technology is only recently being seen as a way to address mental health needs. Despite increased awareness of mental health and more discussed solutions like therapy and self-care methods, quality mental health care as a whole remains an inaccessible luxury to many. Vadim saw this inaccessibility as a challenge that he wanted to tackle by leveraging generative AI technology for the good of improving lives. This started him on his search for a founding team that cared about improving mental health care options and who also complemented his own expertise.
Vadim thought of Ben and Rosalyn almost immediately because of their good hearts, passion for helping people, and startup-savvy mindsets. Thus, the trio came together to found Resilient Moment and began developing an app with the hope that it will give everyone an opportunity to live more resilient lives.
Once our CEO, CTO, and VP of Growth and Business Development joined forces, they knew we would need someone who was already thoroughly embedded in the mental health field. Through an ex-Meta group on Facebook, Vadim connected with Melanie Sage, PhD and from their first interaction it was obvious that Melanie embodied the same qualities as our co-founders. So Dr. Melanie Sage became the first team member at Resilient Moment as Lead Researcher, Digital Mental Health. We will share more about our founding team in upcoming posts that will highlight each of them individually.
